  I just got home from the Westfield Mall and have never felt so robbed and furious. I shopped at Forever 21 and bought items from an employee named Hannah. I specifically asked her what the return policy was and she told me sale items/items with an orange sticker were final sale. She pointed to a pair of slippers I bought and said, “like, these can’t be returned” and I said, “No problem, I know I want to keep those, and definitely this jacket. Just wanna put anything else back that I can’t return”. We made small talk and then I left the store. One hour later, I came back to return a nude colored leotard (because it didn’t work with the top I bought to wear for my birthday dinner tomorrow). I was helped by a different associate who told me that it was final sale. I explained to her the entire story above.- “Oh, I wasn’t told this was non-fundable, was only informed about sale items. May I speak to your manager?” The manager comes and I tell her that I was just there an hour ago, and was not told that my purchase (“lingerie”) was final sale. She tells me “it’s on our receipt” -(WHO reads the receipt that they slip into your bag AFTER you already bought the non-refundable item?! She didn’t point to the return policy/ she did not circle it in pen about certain items??) I explained the lack of logic behind what she had just said to me- and then she paged the girl who rang me up and I can hear their entire conversation on a speaker by the register.. (Rude/ Tacky)..then the manager tells me “There’s nothing I can do”. I then went upstairs to confront Hannah and said, “Please help me. We talked about the return policy, you let me know about the sale purchases but you did not tell me about this item” and she says, “Oh, I didn’t?” And then another employee walks up and says, “You can’t talk to our sales associates.” (WHAT??? I can’t talk to the employee who did not properly inform me about the return policy that I specifically asked about? I seriously felt like I was on an episode of Boiling Points. Where are the hidden cameras?) She told me I could exchange the item for another piece of lingerie and I said, “You guys please, I don’t need anything else- I just want my money back. This is unbelievable.” The girl just shook her head no. So I just left the leotard on the counter and said, “Keep it” and walked away. I feel so disrespected. What a waste. Truly the worst and most unprofessional customer service I’ve ever experienced.
